Come celebrate with the filmmakers and see what Louisiana Film Prize is all about.

We are one step closer to Louisiana Film Prize Festival 2016. Today is the deadline for filmmakers to turn in the rough cuts of their short films. From here, the rough cuts will be watched and analyzed by a distinguished panel to determine which 20 films will be screened at this year's festival in the hopes of winning $50,000.

It's a big day for filmmakers, but a fun night for all of us.

Tonight Louisiana Film Prize (LAFP) is hosting their "End of the Line Turn in Party" presented by Maccentric. The fun starts at 6 p.m. and doesn't stop until midnight at Straycat in Shreveport. It's a party for filmmakers, cast and crew, but it's also open to the public. Come and go as you please and check out what Louisiana Film Prize has got planned for their fifth anniversary.

LAFP is a non-profit in Shreveport that gives filmmakers all across the country a chance to shoot a short film and win one of the largest cash prizes for a short film in the world.
