A Louisiana mom who posted a fight between two high school students spent the night in jail, and is scheduled to appear before a judge later today on the peculiar charge of "unlawful posting of criminal activity for notoriety and publicity."  Allegedly, 32-year-old Maegan Adkins-Barras of Broussard posted a video of a fight taken by her son at Acadiana High School in Lafayette.  The video showed 2 students engaged in a violent fight that left one with minor injuries - and sent the other to the hospital.

According to Fox News, the graphic footage  showed "...a student throwing a punch that caused another boy to fall and strike his head on a concrete bench before collapsing to the ground."  Adkins-Barras' post went viral and was shared repeatedly.  Police say that she had a responsibility to report the crime instead of posting it online.  Both students have been recommended for expulsion and are facing criminal charges.
