Louisiana Tech doesn't want to rebuild, they want to reload.

Coach Skip Holtz is coming off two consecutive 9 win seasons, and 2 bowl wins. But the team has lost their star quarterback (Jeff Driskel) and star running back (Kenneth Dixon) who were both drafted into the NFL.

Not to mention Louisiana Tech's only first round draft pick, Vernon Butler off their defense.

But the team's shelves aren't totally bare. In fact, La Tech is set up to take the C-USA crown based on how many players they just put on the Pre-Season all-conference list. Here's the story from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"Louisiana Tech has a league-best seven football players on the Preseason Conference USA team. Junior kicker Jonathan Barnes received Special Teams Player of the Year honors. Also making the team, Xavier Woods, Jaylon Ferguson, Darrell Brown, David Mahaffey, Trent Taylor and long snapper Darrell Travis."
