U.S. lawmakers from Louisiana are sharing their reactions to President Obama's State of the Union Address last night.

Senator David Vitter tells 710 KEEL the president's speech was much of the same old, same old.

"The speech was a bunch of vague generalities," Vitter said. "The speech itself was something virtually everybody would agree with, almost every line. Now the policies underneath the speech are a lot different."

Vitter said the ideas the president discussed are not in sync with the new Congress, or the way the American people would like to see this country move.

Dr. Cassidy believes President Obama has made a lot of promises to fix the country's problems, but they won't work.
