Have you seen the stories coming out of Syracuse, NY this week? Apparently, they think Christmas is coming early this year with a predicted 7,000 LSU faithful making the trip to the Carrier Dome this Saturday to see the Fighting Tigers take on the Syracuse Orangmen. Some personal recommendations if you’re making the trip. The ‘hill’ will be chock full of students and is always a good time, but my favorite is Armory Square. Check out Al’s or head to Carousel Mall (DestiNY USA) and hit Dave & Buster’s! For some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had (IMHO), Dinosaur BBQ is a must! FYI, game time is 11am on ESPN and can be heard on 1130 The Tiger.

Staying on the LSU tip, I got to hang in Death Valley last Saturday and there was a special guest in Tiger Stadium, former LSU stand out Shaquille O’Neal was on hand… So what’s new with Shaq? Apparently, he’s the proud owner of two rare white tigers. He also owns a horse… that threw him the first time he rode it. Shaq keeps the tigers on a farm in Jacksonville, FL with a caretaker named ‘Tiger Dave.’ Shaq says he’s owned his menagerie for 10 years.

The Voice coach Blake Shelton says he and ex wife Miranda Lambert are still friends, but does admit that their divorce was the best thing that could have happen… to his waistline!

Speaking of The Voice, did you see the guy from Louisiana who made it through the blind auditions Tuesday night? He was in the ‘pimp’ spot, other wise known as the last performer of the night… Talking about James Dupre, a father of four from Bayou Chicot, who sang Hootie and the Blowfish’s Let Her Cry, which was good for a four chair turn netting Dupre a spot on team Adam Levine.

This is absolutely crazy. A couple from Indiana are facing criminal charges after leaving two children in a running car while they went to a Luke Bryan concert. After they were busted, they admitted that neglecting to line up child care was probably not the best idea.

Shreveport native Keith Nale made it through the premiere episode of the new season of Survivor last night! The local received enough votes after appearing during an earlier season to return on the latest genesis of the show, Survivor: Second Chance Cambodia.
