The LSU Men's Basketball program has made a lot of visible strides over the last 18 months. One of the best examples of that progress came against Auburn this weekend.

The Tigers beat Auburn 83-78, in a pretty hard fought contest.

After getting down by 16 in the first half, LSU was able to storm back to pull out the 5 point win. The Tigers were led by dominant rebounding, and well timed scoring. The Tigers outpaced Auburn 29-1 on 'second chance points'.

The Tigers were once again led in scoring by Skylar Mays, who put in 20 points. Tremont Waters had another double double for the Tigers, with 19 points and 10 assists. Naz Reid and Kavell Bigby Williams both had 10 rebounds, with Reid adding 13 points for a double double of his own.

The Tigers are now 9-1 in SEC play, with their only SEC loss coming to Arkansas last weekend. Their regular season stands at 19-4, which is now more wins than they had last year, when they won 18 total, and they've actually surpasses last year's SEC win total as well (they won 8 last year).
