LSU Football has announced that players will look a little different this Saturday night in Tiger Stadium.

The team will be wearing throwback "Gridiron Gold” uniforms for Saturday's game in against Mississippi State. These uniforms will resemble what the Tigers wore in the 1940s.

The helmets the Tigers are set to wear are a bit different too. They will have numbers on it. Back in the late 50s, LSU's helmets had numbers on it. Since then, LSU's helmet has had "LSU" written across it, along with a tiger face.

We have seen LSU wear different color jerseys in the past, but they have not worn the gold jerseys since 1996. So yes, the Tigers will look a bit different to fans this Saturday night in Tiger Stadium.
