I've been behind the wheel for more than 25 years, and there's no telling how many miles I've driven. But I do know that I've driven at least 100,000 miles now!

On Sunday (June 28) I watched the odometer on my 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 turn from 99,999 miles to 100,000! I think that's quite an accomplishment for me because I've never had a vehicle from day one that I could say that I put every single one of those miles on it.

My truck is two months shy of being 10 years old, and I've been there with it every step of the way. I can't say that for my first four cars, though!

My first car was a 1976 banana yellow Ford Granada I got in 1988. A year later I gave that to my brother and stepped up to a 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass, which was stolen while I was working one day.

Then with the insurance money, I got a 1990 Pontiac Grand AM GT and had that for about seven years until it was ruined in a flood. Then came the 1997 Honda Accord, which I had until I got married and had to upgrade to a truck because we didn't need two Accords.

So I've put many, many miles on all four of my previous cars, plus my wife's cars, too, but I have no idea on how many miles I put on each of them. But with my truck I know they're all mine!

When I think about it now, I wonder just how many miles I've driven since I received my license at the age of 16.

What's the most amount of miles you've ever put on a single vehicle, and what type of vehicle was it? Let me know be leaving your mileage in the comment section below.
