Bossier City police have arrested a man for the recent armed robbery of a personal loan store.

Detectives with the BCPD’s Violent Crimes Unit arrested 49-year-old Scott Jackson of Bossier City on a charge of armed robbery with a firearm in connection with the holdup of the EZ Money store in the 900 block of Benton Road on Monday.

Bossier Police describe the crime in a press release:

Police arrested Jackson thanks to the help of surveillance camera video from a nearby business. After the armed robbery occurred Monday, detectives checked with businesses in the area to see if they had any surveillance video that could possibly show the suspect. That’s when they found video taken from inside a mobile phone store located in the same shopping center of a man fitting the description of the suspect. The man was also wearing clothing that matched that of the suspect. Detectives learned the man came to the store attempting to pay his phone bill but was short on cash and left. An hour later, the armed robbery occurred.

Detectives asked phone store personnel to call police should the man return. Bossier City police received that call Wednesday at approximately 6 p.m. when the man, later identified as Jackson, came into the store. Jackson was taken into custody, questioned and subsequently arrested for the armed robbery.

Jackson was booked into the Bossier City Jail and later transferred to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility.
