[UPDATE]  Bossier sheriff's deputies have received a tip that led to the identification and arrest of 54-year-old Alonzo Jackson of Bossier City.

Jackson is charged with misdemeanor theft, plus possessing drug paraphernalia and simple marijuana possession. He's been booked into the Bossier Maximum Security Facility with bond set at $2,200.

[ORIGINAL STORY]  The Bossier Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who managed to con a woman out of $400.

Detectives say the suspect told the woman he was a relative of someone the victim knew. He said his vehicle was broken down in the parking lot of Wal-Mart on Airline Drive, and he needed the money to fix the car.

The woman was told she'd be paid back the following day, so she loaned the man the cash. But she never saw or heard from him again.

The suspect identified himself to the woman as 'Tony,' but detectives don't know if that's accurate. He's described as a 6' tall black male weighing about 170 pounds.

Anyone with information that can help identify and locate this man is asked to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at 318-424-4100 or the Bossier Sheriff's Office at 318-965-2203.
