A local man is tased and arrested when he causes a scene at Shreveport Mayor Ollie Tyler's office.

33-Year-old Chasity Travis showed up at City Hall at about 11am Friday. He asked to see Mayor Tyler. He was told she was not in the office and he could make an appointment.  This apparently did not satisfy Travis and he began to cause a scene, getting loud and demanding to see the Mayor.

He was asked repeatedly to leave, but refused.

Caddo Deputies who provide security for the building responded to the Mayor's office. When a deputy tried to check a backpack Travis brought with him, Travis allegedly grabbed the deputy.

Travis was tased during the incident. He's been charged with two counts of battery on a police officer, three counts of resisting an officer and entering and remaining.
