Let's go fly a kite, up to the highest height this weekend!

Did you know it's National Kite Month? The weather was absolutely beautiful this weekend and was the perfect weather to fly a kite. We've got a fingers crossed for similar conditions this Saturday when the Mansfield State Historic Site hosts Kite Day. The event is open to the public and is BYOK (Bring Your Own Kite). It starts at 11 a.m. and goes until 2 p.m.

If you bring your own kite, admission is free. Otherwise it is $4 per person general admission. Children 12 and under will get in free, as will seniors 62 and older.

Four free kites will be given away to the first four kids who ask to use them.
