Former Shreveport restaurant owner Mark Colby has been formally sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole.

The 59-year-old Colby was found guilty of second degree murder for the death of his girlfriend and business partner 53-year-old Angela Godley. The two co-owned the Noble Savage Tavern in downtown Shreveport. She was found dead in the laundry room at the couple's Shreve Island home on September 10, 2014. Godley had been shot several times.

After Godley's body was found, Colby fled to Mexico, but he was captured a couple of days later and extradited back to our area to face charges.
