Well, the internet is all a-twitter...er...(nope, they are protesting today)...all abuzz about Mark Wahlberg's comments in Men's Journal.

From what the story says, Mark was originally booked on one of the planes that were hi-jacked on 9/11/01. When asked about that fateful day, which he miraculously avoided he said, "If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn't have went down like it did. There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, 'OK, we're going to land somewhere safely, don't worry."

So, let me get this right, he would have been able to do what hundreds of passengers couldn't do, take down terrorists, essentially, pulling a move ala Die Hard's Officer John McClane.

Sounds kind of disrespectful, to me.

I guess since he made that comment, the blow-back on his words has been so powerful that he is now retracting his comments via TMZ, "I deeply apologize to the families of the victims that my answer came off as insensitive, it was certainly not my intention."

Thoughts?
