Scott Tilley began his career in the housing industry as a child in 1977 working for his mother and father at their family's dealership in Bossier cleaning homes and performing lot maintenance. From there, Scott moved into the service department performing service and refurbishing used homes. Next step, Scott moved into the delivery and set-up arena driving a toter truck and blocking and leveling homes. Next step after learning the foundation of the business, Scott moved into the office and began his career in sales and service management.

In 1994 Scott moved to Fort Worth Texas to further enhance his housing industry knowledge by working at Southern Energy Homes, a manufacturing facility. A year following this industry exposure experience, Scott moved his family to Tyler, Texas and opened a retail dealership of his own, Tyler Mobile Homes Inc. For the next 3 years, Scott built his business with a foundation firmly rooted in customer service. Following this successful venture, Scott was in a position to sell his dealership and move back to his hometown an open the largest volume, Best Service After the Sale Dealership in the entire USA*, Tilley's Shreveport MFD Housing.
