Aaron Sorkin, Oscar-winning screenwriter behind The Social Network and Steve Jobs, is making his directorial debut with an adaptation of Molly Bloom’s memoir Molly’s Game, From Hollywood’s Elite to Wall Street’s Billionaire Boys Club, My High-Stakes Adventure in the World of Underground Poker. Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba have already signed on to the film, and now it looks like Michael Cera is throwing his hat in the ring.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cera is in talks to play Player X, “a celebrity player who develops a unique relationship with Bloom.” Chastain will play the titular Molly Bloom, a former skier who becomes a cocktail waitress in Los Angeles after her Olympic dreams come to no avail. By and by, she rises to power and becomes an organizer of underground poker games for the Hollywood aristocracy, her games attracting the likes of Ben Affleck, Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire. Bloom was eventually arrested by the FBI when they put a stop to the whole thing.

The film is looking at a November start date to shoot. No word yet on whether Affleck or DiCaprio will play themselves doubling down in a dingy basement wearing dark sunglasses and trench coats.
