Look, I know that Tom Cruise must be getting older. There are lines on his face that weren’t there before and, like many gym rats, he’s been forced to trade leanness for bulk over the years just to maintain his active lifestyle. And I know that, someday, Tom Cruise will reach an age where the aches and pains catch up to him and he’ll no longer be able to pull off at least three incredible stunts per movie. But you know what? Today is not that day, and if this new batch of Mission: Impossible 6 set photos is to be believe, this is not that movie.

In these new photos (via ComingSoon.net), Cruise shows absolutely no signs of slowing down. Dangle precariously from a series of wires? You got it. Race a motorbike along the streets of Paris? Hey, no sweat. Don’t believe me? Check out some of the photos that have found their way to social media and see for yourself:

As we wrote about back in March, Cruise has apparently been training for one specific stunt in this movie for the better part of a year, suggesting that those things we see above  —  the kind of things that you and I would never want to even attempt in our daily lives  —  are just Cruise’s warmup act. Somewhere in the middle of Mission: Impossible 6 is a stunt that is, if you can believe it, more involved than dangling from the tallest building in the world, clinging to a departing airplane, or holding your breath for six-and-a-half minutes to shoot an underwater sequence. Whatever Cruise and company have planned for us this time out, know that you can pry his action franchises from his cold, dead hands.

Mission: Impossible 6 will return Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, and Alec Baldwin and bring on board series newcomer Henry Cavill. The film is set to hit theaters on July 27, 2018.
