I remember watching "Home Alone" thinking that no one could leave their kid behind going on vacation. Well, it turns out it is entirely possible to leave the dad of the family behind.

A family driving from Texas to Tennessee stopped at a gas station for snacks and to fill up the old family truckster.  All was well and the family was back on the road, except for one problem: Mom left Dad back at the gas station!

The man tried to contact his wife, but he left his own cell phone in the mini van that ended up driving off without him. "Six different cellphones and nobody answers," the dad explained to WBIR. "So I started imagining the worst-case possible scenarios. So I called the cops."

Finally the stranded dad was able to get through to his family through Facebook 100 miles down the road.

So, the next time you are on a family vacation make sure to do a through head count!
