My wife calls it a "love affair," but it is more like good friends meeting each morning before anyone wakes up. We grind without making too much noise to make sure the entire house stays asleep. I smell it's beauty and then it touches my lips. That would be my morning cup of coffee.

Now I have a real reason to enjoy my morning cup of coffee: it's helping to keep me alive. Seems as though a new study out of the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research has found that coffee is good for you to drink...but no more than 4 cups of coffee a day. No more, no less

At four cups, the good chemical compounds in coffee help decrease your risks of:

  • heart disease
  • diabetes
  • obesity

Now, what happens with less than four cups? Simple: you don't get the full health benefits.
And more than four cups of coffee? The researchers found you actually begin to see weight gain and the possibility of diabetes creep in.
