Even More New ‘Dark Knight Rises’ Images

The Dark Knight Rises
Warner Bros.

Though yesterday brought us a gallery of new images, knowing how guarded Christopher Nolan is about his upcoming ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ (and rightfully so), we expect that this batch of images from the anticipated sequel will be some of the last early teases we’ll get before the movie reaches theaters on July 20. So pore over every detail, because a few crucial details are revealed below.

The images were shared by Empire, which has two new covers sporting Batman (Christian Bale) and Catwoman (Anne Hathaway). Inside the mag, we get four new images from ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ showing Bruce Wayne in conversation with Miranda Tate (Marion Cotillard); Batman on his souped up Batpod; the Dark Knight on the catwalk where – I believe – he fights Bane (Tom Hardy); and a side-profile of Hathaway’s cat burglar.

What we noticed, for the first time, was Catwoman’s presence behind the gate at the scene of the big Batman/Bane fight. Here’s what we’re assuming, based on that we’ve seen in the trailers. Catwoman will be present when Bane dismantles the Caped Crusader (maybe breaking his back?). That’s why she’s telling Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s police officer that he should be scared of Bane, and that she isn’t sure if Batman survived the fight or not.

But enough speculation. Nolan’s trilogy capper will be in theaters soon enough. Until then, here are four new images and two Empire covers to hold you over. ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ reaches theaters on July 20.
