More Shreveport Weather Heat Records Possible

Here's a look at the numbers for Shreveport  for Thursday and Friday from The Weather Channel:

THURSDAY:  The high climbed to 108 degrees at 2:27pm.  The record high for the date was set back in 1909 when we hit 110.  In case you are wondering, the record low for August 18th is 57.  We saw that back in 1992.  We did record a trace of rain across the region yesterday.

THE SHREVEPORT CLIMATE NORMALS FOR FRIDAY AUGUST 19TH:

The record high is 105.  We hit that back in 1999.  The normal high for today is 94.  Our record low for today is 61....set way back in 1879.
