A Shreveport teen accused in a fatal shooting is now behind bars.

Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Investigators arrested 18-year-old Tyrone Gilliam, Jr., after he surrendered to authorities at police headquarters. He was taken into custody without incident and charged with one count of second degree murder.

Gilliam is accused of shooting and killing 33-year-old Sherman Bryant outside a Stoner Avenue apartment complex shortly after 2:00 this morning. Investigators believe a verbal dispute between the two led Gilliam to shoot Bryant multiple times.

Gilliam has been booked into the Shreveport City Jail with bond set at $250,000.
