Musician Sly Stone Is Homeless

It seems the economy is leaving almost no one untouched.

From people losing jobs, to families losing their homes, it's been a tough couple of years.

It's even affecting some "stars" in California.

From the late 60's to the mid 70's, Sly And The Family Stone had no money troubles.

In fact, according to US Magazine, when they stopped putting out new music, Sly Stone was living in a 5,432 square foot mansion.

About four year ago, he "downsized" to a smaller compound with a vineyard in Napa Valley.

But after drug abuse, crazy spending habits, and some odd lawsuits, he's now homeless... Living in a van in Los Angeles.

He now has a retired couple that brings him food and allows him to use their shower.

But, US Magazine reports that he is still making music. Despite being homeless, he does have a laptop that he records with.
