My Walking Group Is Still Going Strong

Each Monday, Wednesday and Friday we meet at 5pm at Mall St. Vincent in front of Dillards for our walk. Some days we have 9 or 10 ladies and some days it's just a few. But you won't be alone. There will always be a member of the CIA (Chicks in Action) ready to walk.

I'm not in great shape, so you can find me at the back of the pack. We general walk at our own pace. You might find a couple of ladies walking a bit faster, but it's no big deal. We each get a chance to chat and find out what's going on in our lives. These are really special ladies and I hope you will think about joining us one day just to check it out.

Each day after we walk, we take a picture so we can map our progress. I look forward to seeing these ladies 3 times a week, and I never thought I would be saying that. If you are like me and the only way you will get up and exercise is if someone else is counting on you, this is the group for you. You will always find someone willing to walk at your pace. It takes us about 30-45 minutes to complete our walk and it's a great way to wrap up the day. A few times we have gotten together after the walk to have dinner and we plan to do more of this in the future.
