Naomi Watts Plays Princess Di, See the New Trailer

In the soon to be released “Diana,” two time Oscar-nominee Naomi Watts plays Princess Diana, a role she describes as “the hardest thing I’ve ever done.”

“I don’t want to get caught up in mimicry – that’s the worst thing,” she said at the beginning of filming. “I was to try to embody her and get the essence of her. Those things are really important to me.”

In the just released trailer, Watts, 44, is shown portraying Diana as she struggles with royal life and a troubled marriage, and her duties as philanthropist, mother and, of course, “the People’s Princess.”
