Natasha Bedingfield and Boyz II Men took to the ‘Dancing With the Stars’ stage last night. The British chanteuse and Philly-based R&B band weren’t competing — they were providing the soundtrack.

Bedingfield performed her new single ‘Wild Horses’ as a 17-year-old ballerina named Michaela DePrince took center stage. Bedingfield appeared to be playing the part of lounge singer, performing under a single spotlight accompanied by a piano. She wore a flowy coral gown with a belted waist and sang into a vintage-style microphone. The stage was more brightly and warmly lit towards the end of the performance.

The ‘These Words’ songstress was moved by Sierra Leone-born DePrince’s story. “It’s hard not to cry,” she said. “When I watched your video,” she told DePrince, “it’s just so beautiful to hear your story.” DePrince was equally flattering, telling Bedingfield, “I love your music! Thank you for letting me dance to it.”

Boyz II Men brought their Motown Philly brand of soul to the conclusion of Motown Week on the ABC hit, performing ‘One More Dance.’ How appropriate! The trio is currently on tour in support of their latest album, ‘Twenty.’ The record celebrates their 20 years as a group — can you believe it’s been that long?!
