We will see another day of near record cold.

Our low temperature on Monday was 32 degrees, but that could change today. We dipped to 25 degrees this morning. The record low for this date is 15 degrees back in 1963. We won't get that cold today, but we might get close to a record for tomorrow.

Back in 1900, the temperature dropped to 17 degrees on January 29. That's the record low. We could get very close to that overnight tonight, but our area is not expected to get any winter precipitation.

South Louisiana, where sleet and snow fell, is a different story. I-49 is closed in Alexandria, I-10 is closed at Lafayette and I-210 is closed in Lake Charles. Baton Rouge could get as much as two inches of snow today.
