When I think of a holiday in combination with a kiss, I normally think of spending some quality time under the mistletoe around Christmas, but New Orleans author, Colleen Mooney presents her twist on Carnivale with the first in her To Go Cup Chronicle series named, Rescued by a Kiss, available on Amazon and through local bookstores.

I'm a voracious reader and especially love fiction set in the Bayou state. So, if you're looking for a light-hearted new read to kick off the new year, you might want to give this one a try... Especially since proceeds from the book will go to an animal shelter/rescue. I'm thinking this would make a great book club novel.

Author Colleen Mooney is the winner of two Southern Louisiana Romance Writers awards.

Here's more about Rescued by a Kiss from J. Barnes:

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Brandy Alexander: names for a hot babe and a cold drink. In New Orleans, the combination can be lethal.

Set against the backdrop of a Mardi Gras parade in the Big Easy, Rescued by a Kiss is the story of a lady who isn’t afraid to take chances – and about a Mardi Gras moment that changes everything. Brandy’s life goes from ‘park’ to full throttle when she agrees to rescue a stranger. Disguised identities amidst winding and crowded streets, colorful characters and a four-legged femme fatale add up to magic, mystery and unexpected reveals!

New Orleans is a character of its own in this tale of tangled lives, plot twists and historical references. Just as music is an essential part of New Orleans, so is the lyrical lexicon of Rescued By a Kiss.
