It seems Crescent City residents looking for a place to vacation this summer should look no further. New Orleans ranks #7 on WalletHub.com's list of Best & Worst Cities to Staycation in 2014.

The website compared each of the 100 largest U.S. cities based on 20 key metrics, from the number of public golf courses and swimming pools per capita to the cost of maid services, to help consumers who are on the fence about staying home or taking a trip this summer.

The only other Louisiana city to make the list was Baton Rouge, at #32. Several Texas cities were included in the analysis: Austin was #26, Dallas #57, and El Paso, Corpus Christi and Lubbock were 59, 60 and 61.

Buffalo, New York ranked 1st. Chula Vista, California, was at the bottom. Take a look at the complete rankings.
