The NFL Preseason is an enigma; you really get a feel for how well players are looking going into the season, but a team's record is clearly not an indication of success. There have been teams that go undefeated in the preseason, who then lose record numbers of games. Then there are teams who lose a ton of preseason games, but find themselves in the playoffs at the end of the regular season.

With that being said, there's some room for concern with the Saints so far in the preseason. Here's more on last night's game from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"The Saints fell to 0-3 in preseason action last night with a 27-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh took control of the game with two touchdowns in the first quarter as the Saints defense couldn’t do much against the Steelers first unit.

Coach Sean Payton said after the game that his biggest concerns are that the defense is not generating much of a pass rush, while New Orleans didn’t do enough to protect the quarterback. Drew Brees was 9-of-12 for 78 yards and a touchdown. Garrett Grayson was intercepted twice. Tim Hightower was the leading Saints rusher with 27 yards and Willie Snead was the leading receiver with four grabs for 58 yards."
