New Orleans Saints linebacker Junior Gallette faces a civil lawsuit.

Kenner woman has filed a civil lawsuit against Saints linebacker Junior Gallette, claiming he was physically and emotionally abusive to her during their 2-year relationship. Legal analyst Doug Sunseri says this is not good for Gallette or the Saints. Sunseri says now Gallette will be asked about his personal behavior with this woman under oath.

Gallette was booked with misdemeanor simple battery involving domestic abuse following an incident with this woman last month.

Galette's attorney says Kenner prosecutors have dropped those charges.

The woman asserts that Galette drugged her and allowed other Saints team members to grope her during the two years they had an open sexual relationship, according to the lawsuit filed in Gretna.

The 22-year-old woman seeks unspecified monetary damages and requests a jury trial, according to the petition filed by her attorney Joe Raspanti.

Galette's attorney Ralph Whalen issued a statement to news media, Whalen accuses the woman of trying to shakedown his client by demanding $2 million to avoid litigation. A spokesman for Whalen released to news media a page from a Jan. 26 letter Raspanti wrote, offering to settle the matter for $2 million before a lawsuit could be filed.
