New YMCA Complex in Shreveport Set to Open in December

The YMCA of Shreveport will be growing. Construction is moving along on the new facility at Knight and Preston Street.

Executive Director of the YMCA, Gary Lash tells us about the 60,000 square foot complex which will include a 50 meter indoor pool and another indoor family pool. It will also include a full sized gym, a fitness area and a complete area for a full after school program.

Lash expects to open the complex in Mid-December. He says they will be selling the existing YMCA on Carroll Street at Youree Drive.
