He has been a busy man. ‘Bernie,’ ‘Magic Mike,’ and ‘Killer Joe‘ all featured McConaughey proving that he hasn’t disappeared and he’s still got what it takes in the acting department.

Matthew McConaughey is the king of the romantic comedy. He works his charm on the ladies in ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’ and ‘Failure to Launch.’

Did you know he was strongly considered to play 'Jack Dawson' in Titanic (1997), until Leonardo DiCaprio decided to accept the part. I wonder how that blockbuster movie would have turned out with a different leading man?

Did you know he starred in the 1994 film Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation playing a mad bloodthirsty sadistic killer, opposite Renée Zellweger?  One of my favorite Matthew McConaughey movies is "A Time to Kill" (1996), where he played a young lawyer opposite Sandra Bullock and Kevin Spacey.

After dropping 38 pounds to play a man diagnosed with HIV/AIDS in The Dallas Buyer's Club, McConaughey is now back on his regular diet. See his thin look in the movie:
