It's going to be another fun filled week for Mardi Gras revelers in northwest Louisiana! The festivities start today with the Krewe of Harambee's Hopes and Dreams Breakfast going on now at the Petroleum Club followed by their parade commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. today with staging at 11:00am and parade time at 1:00pm in downtown Shreveport.

But don't think that's it for parades this week in the Ark-La-Tex, because this Saturday there are two more! Springhill kicks of it's parade at 1:00pm and Minden hosts is 'Fasching' parade starting at 4:30pm.

The Krewe of Justinian hosts their Grand Bal Friday, January 22nd at the Shreveport Convention Center. Dress is black tie and doors open at 6:30pm with complimentary cocktails... Starting at 7:00pm, it'll transfer over to being a cash bar, but you won't mind because of their awesome silent auction and entertainment by Limelight. The royalty presentation is slated for 8:00pm with hors'deuvres after. Get your tickets today for $85.

I'll be hosting the other party Friday night with the Krewe of Akewa at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 5400 East Texas, Bossier City. Doors open at 6:30pm, presentation at 7:30. Dress is black tie with entertainment by DJ Jeff McBride and food from Hugh Wood Catering. Tickets are $60 with a cash bar.

Saturday, January 23, 2016 is another big night for Mardi Gras with the Krewe of Gemini XXVII Grand Bal at the Shreveport Convention Center. Doors open at 6:30pm with presentation at 8:00pm followed by live music with Flow Tribe. Tickets are $100 the week of the event but it includes an open bar and breakfast after the tableau.

The Natchitoches Events Center will also be rocking Saturday night with the Krewe of Dionysos Grand Bal!
