Kate Middleton checked into King Edward VII hospital last week for acute morning sickness following the announcement of her pregnancy. While she was there, a pair of Australian radio DJs called the hospital pretending to be Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles. The worker who took the call and patched it through to Middleton's private nurse was found dead Friday morning, possibly a result of suicide.

Jacintha Saldanha was a nurse for four years at the hospital, which released a statement praising her work: "Jacintha was a first-class nurse who cared diligently for hundreds of patients during her time with us. She will be greatly missed."

The Royal Palace also commented: "Their Royal Highnesses were looked after so wonderfully well at all times by everybody at King Edward VII Hospital, and their thoughts and prayers are with Jacintha Saldanha’s family, friends and colleagues at this very sad time."

Investigators from Scotland Yard do not suspect foul play at this time. The two DJs who made the prank call have both been fired.
