Nature is just amazing,but in the case of the Golden Orb Spider from Madagascar nature is fabulous! This golden cape was created by Simon Peers from the silk of a Golden Orb Spider using a process created in the 1700's.It took four years to collect enough spider silk to create this one of a kind garment using the process created by Frenchman, Francois-Xavier Bon de Saint Hilaire, who made clothes for King Louis XIV.

No dyes were used to create the golden hue of the cape. It's all au natural.

As amazing as this garment is, I don't think I will be looking for any clothes made from spider silk. Its just way too creepy.
