Operation Santa Claus Delivered Toys to the Shriner’s Hospital

It's called the Barney Cannon Smile Run and anyone whose ever seen it can tell you it's a truly magical experience. Operation Santa Claus delivered the toys you donated to the children at the Shriner's Hospital in Shreveport. The smile run is named after one of our own radio personalities Barney Cannon, who passed away in 2009 and was a major part of Operation Santa Claus.

Shreveport Police and Fire along with Santa himself give each child in the hospital a toy and then take them outside for the "snow". The SFD allows each child to use the fire hose to spread the snow and then everyone gets to play! There's usually not a dye eye seeing these kids take a break from battling their health issues and well, just be kids.
