Oprah Could Win In Real Estate

MSN's Wonderwall posted a story that outlines Oprah plans to sell off her New York condo. Based on what I have seen New York real Estate she stands to make quite a killing if she wanted.

Looking at the history of New York's West Side (Manhattan), it has seen real Estate Price jump anywhere from 100-600% since the Fall of 2oo8, when the housing market was at its worst, nationally.

So Oprah purched the penthouse at Midtown Manhattan's Place 57 for $7.1 million in 2008. She now has her ,530-square-foot property is now on the market for $7.9 million, according to Zillow.

According to some stories, this was Gayle King's place. Whether she ACTUALLY owned it is still in question. However, Gayle did live in this three bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom condo and is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling glass windows. It also has a wrap-around terrace with city views, on the 36th floor. It has 12-foot high ceilings and a "triangle-shaped" living room, a "state-of-the-art" kitchen and a high-end dining area. The master suite features three walk-in closets and a spa-style tub.

Must be nice, to make more off your real estate than you bought it for. Gotta give her credit, she invested well. Making and addition $800,000 is nothing to sneeze at.
