Pickpockets on the Run in Shreveport

Be on the lookout for a ring of thieves targeting patrons at restaurants on Youree Drive. In the latest case, a man was dining with his wife at Newk's when a man grabbed a woman's wallet right out of her purse and left the restaurant quickly.

Customers followed the man out and one tried to grab the wallet. The thief dropped the wallet and ran to a minivan and sped off. 2 women were in the van and there were 2 men involved in the heist. Police are still looking for the foursome.  A similar incident happened at Olive Garden on Youree Drive earlier this month. Police say you should make sure you keep your valuables very close to you and call police if you see anything suspicious.
