The 8th Annual Christmas in Plain Dealing Christmas Festival is set for this Saturday November 24 from 10 a.m to 6 p.m. at the Community Center in downtown Plain Dealing.

Again this year the festival includes local crafts, art and food. In addition, there's live entertainment all day, featuring A.J. and the Two Tones. The Jingle Junction kids area features kids crafts, bounce houses, face painting and clowns!

You can also visit the mobile museum with historical pictures of Plain Dealing going back to the 19th century. There's also an Antique Tractor Show, Chili Cook-Off, Jelly & Jam Judging and the annual Christmas Treasure Hunt.

At 6 p.m., Santa will be escorted into town by the Plain Dealing Fire Department, passing out candy to the boys and girls and taking those special Christmas present requests.

The festival wraps up after sundown with the annual Christmas fireworks display. Admission is free all day for all ages. For details, call 318 326-5137 or check out the website here.
