At approximately 11:22 p.m. on October 19, 2011, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to a home in the 8500 block of Panetella Lane relative to a welfare concern. Upon arrival there officers contacted 28 year old Tamara Summerfield who reported to them her two year old son, Ja’marsay Summerfield, was missing. According to initial statements given to patrolmen, Ja’marsay had allegedly been left with relatives of Tamara’s boyfriend back on October 7, 2011 and had not been returned home.

Detectives were notified and are in the process of interviewing numerous potential witnesses including Tamara Summerfield and her boyfriend, who lived in the home with her there on Panetella Lane. Investigators are also attempting to determine why Ja’marsay had not been reported missing until last night. Ja’marsay Summerfield is a two year old black male who was last seen wearing a plaid Rocawear shirt and a pair of Rocawear blue jeans. He has what has been described as a soft fade haircut.

Police are working diligently to find little Ja’marsay and are asking anyone who might have any information regarding his whereabouts to call authorities immediately at 318-673-2583 Extension 3 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
