The Bossier Parish based group entitled "Prayers and Support For Local Law Officers" has announced the first of several distributions of the "treat bags" they've recently collected to show support to our local law enforcement officers.

This group of concerned volunteers will conduct a "Prayer and Support Treat Bag Distribution" tomorrow, Thursday, July 21, at both 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm at the Bossier Parish Sheriff Department Sub Station, 2510 Viking Drive in Bossier City, LA.

This community project involved many volunteers and businesses donating items to help show support for our local law enforcement.

Each bag, filled with prepackaged snacks, drinks, pens, notepads, etc., will also contain a laminated Bible scripture of protection, safety, encouragement and thankfulness. This will enable the officer to look at the verse daily and know that their community is praying for them and God is protecting them.

Daycare facilities are also pitching in and will have the kids make special cards to be included.
