2016 certainly hasn’t been a good year for music. Yesterday, we lost another legend. Prince Rogers Nelson, better known as Prince, was pronounced dead at 10:07am at his home, Paisley Park, just outside of Minneapolis at 57-years-old. He was found unresponsive in an elevator and paramedics weren’t able to revive him. There’s no official cause of death yet but he had been suffering from flu-like symptoms.

Prince’s career spanned 38 years, 39 albums, sold more than 100 million albums around the world, is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, won 7 Grammys, a Golden Globe and even an Oscar. He also had one of the most memorable Super Bowl halftime shows of all time!

Did you know that Prince wrote the Kenny Rogers’ song You’re My Love? He used the pen name Joey Coco.

Clearly it’s going to be a big night in Kiss Country judging by the amount of people who have been trying to hit me up for free tickets to see Carrie Underwood at the CenturyLink Center! Beware, if you’re not going to the show, you might want to skip that area of town because traffic is sure to be congested!
