Public boat launches operated by the Red River Waterway Commission are closed due to high water.

These are the ramps in Caddo, Bossier, Red River, Natchitoches and Grant Parishes. According to a RRWC news release, heavy rainfall in the Red River Valley has resulted in increased flows and a rise in the river throughout Louisiana, northeast Texas and southwest Arkansas.

The Red River is not closed to boat traffic, but authorities don't recommend you launch your boat into the swift current, with floating debris, at this time. Boaters may want to contact private marinas to discuss launch conditions.

The recreation areas will remain open when possible. Boat launches will be re-opened as soon as conditions are safe. Visit the RRWC website for up-to-date information.
