KKTV ran a story about an Easter egg hunt that was cancelled in Colorado, not because of the weather, but because of the aggressive parents trying to help their kids get Easter eggs. The Old Colorado City Easter Egg Hunt had been going on for almost a decade and had gotten so big that the parents came down with a serious case of easter egg fever.

Ropes and barricades were set up to keep the parents back, but that didn't stop them. Parents would almost run over kids trying to get eggs. Some other parents had decided that even if the egg hunt was still taking place they wouldn't return because of the unruly parents.

The parents had gotten so crazy over eggs many kids would be left without any eggs for their baskets. Nothing is sadder than an empty Easter egg basket.

Let's hope our parents behave themselves for Easter on the Bayou coming up on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Cypress Black Bayou Park.
