Louisiana Film Prize Festival is October 9 through 12. Here's a closer look at one of the Top 20 films, "Lovable.'

"Loveable" is a drama directed by Erica Silverman. We asked her a few questions about her short film.

What is "Lovable" about?

Flaws

What kind of message are you trying to get across in your film?

We wanted to express how the things you complain about or dislike about yourself, may be the very things others love about you. So stop complaining and be happy.

Where in Northwest Louisiana did you film?

Arcadia, Louisiana

What were your impressions about Northwest Louisiana, specifically the Shreveport-Bossier area?

We both went to college in Ruston so we've spent some time in Shreveport. I find that people are very pleasant and helpful. The area still has that old world southern charm.

Would you film in this area again?

Absolutely

$50,000 is on the line! What do you plan on doing with the money if you win?

A boob job! Kidding people. All of it would go directly into another project. We have a short film we aim to shoot this winter in Canada, and I'm also working on a feature film script. The money would help fund and make these projects a reality.

Why should someone vote for your film?

I hope people enjoy the film, if they do, they should vote.

Additional thoughts?

Thank you, Shreveport's Hit Music Channel K945! And congratulations to all the filmmakers who made the Top 20! See you soon y'all!
