Avert your innocent eyes, kids! Parents accompanying their children to see Finding Dory at the Brenden Concord movie theater in Concord, California earlier this month were surprised and scandalized when the trailer for Sausage Party was screened before the PG-rated Disney-Pixar film.

Viewers were furious after a preview for Seth Rogen's raunchy, R-rated animated comedy was shown to impressionable young children in the audience, revealing scenes in which baby carrots are eaten alive, a potato is skinned/peeled while shrieking in agony and other sentient, anthropomorphic food items make lewd comments, swear like sailors and are terrorized by the horrors of cooking.

Finding Dory features adorable baby otters, large-eyed baby fishes and is perfect for taking your toddler to see, so yeah, the target audience is not the same for a crude film like Sausage Party, which is more Pineapple Express than Veggie Tales.

"Playing that trailer was a one-time honest mistake by a theater manager moving screens around in [an] effort to accommodate several large last-minute groups wanting to see Dory," explained VP of Theater Operations Walter Eichinger to the East Bay Times after the error.

“...It was caught soon, but not until the trailer played. We regret it, apologize for it, and we are not happy that it happened. We fully realize this trailer is not appropriate for Dory and we would never schedule something like that."

One person who's not sorry for the mishap? Rogen, who tweeted that the news of the incident "made his day."

Sausage Party opens nationwide August 12 and if you're planning on seeing it, we recommend calling for a babysitter that night.
