Accuweather meteorologists tell us we could hit 103 late this afternoon. That would match the old record which was set last year. This has been a hot week. Thursday, we hit 101. That was close to the record of 102 we set in 1990. We've hit triple digits over the past 4 days. Our average temperature for the first week of September ranges from 85-90. We will be much hotter than that throughout the weekend. Expect highs in the triple digits on Saturday and Sunday. The chance of rain is very slim. It's fun to look at the old records and you might want to check out this cool website from the National Weather Service.
