Red River Revel Arts Festival Music Lineup for 2014
The Red River Revel has announced the music lineup for its 39th annual arts festival, and it will include performances by rising stars, popular local favorites and breakout artists from a variety of music genres.
The 39th annual Red River Revel Arts Festival is set for Oct. 4-11, 2014, in downtown Shreveport’s Festival Plaza. Known as north Louisiana’s largest outdoor arts festival, the Red River Revel annually attracts more than 150,000 visitors to enjoy live music featuring national headliners, Louisiana favorites, and acclaimed local and regional talent.
Here’s a list of this year’s headliners:
Trout Fishing in America (10/4-6), Blackberry Smoke, Kaminari Taiko of Houston, and The Cantrells (10/4); Black Violin (10/5, 6, 10); the Newsboys’ We Believe 2014 Tour including performances by 7th Time Down and Family Force 5 (10/8); Dustin Lynch, The Black Cadillacs, and Dirtfoot (10/9); Jana Kramer and Zapp Band (10/10); Dash Rip Rock, Goodbye June, and the “Best Up-and-Comer” at the 2014 CMA Music Festival, Mama Dear (10/11). Additional CHASE Stage performers include Washitaw Nation Mardi Gras Indians, Earshot Graffiti, Windstorm, Total Choice, Landry & Company, Professor Porkchop, Josh Hyde and the Hitchhikers, and more. You can also enjoy the vibrant sounds of Port City Big Band, Centenary Suzuki School, and the Shreveport Metropolitan Concert Band. Local and regional performing arts companies will showcase a broad range of talents, including various dance genres, martial arts demonstrations and gymnastics, Oct. 4, 5, and 7.
Gospel and Christian music fans are invited to a special day of praise and music on Sunday, October 5, featuring the music of Joanna Endsley, FUMC Bossier’s Encounter Band, Broadmoor’s DOXA, and Alive by Sunrise.
Some of the many local and regional acts slated to perform on the Eldorado Performing Arts Stage include the Jared Mourad Band, Black Water Bride, Cody Cooke & the Bayou Outlaws, Casey Martin, Matthew Davidson, Tyler Lenius Band, Voodoo Bayou, Trini Triggs, Super Water Sympathy, Louisiana Swamp Donkey, Aubrie Layne, Kate McRae, The Larangos, Shayliff, and more.
