Remembering 911 Terrorist Attacks 11 Years Later [VIDEO]

September 11th is on Tuesday this year, the same day of the week that terrorists attached America, the day know as 911.

I’m sure that all of us can remember what we were doing that day when we heard that 2 planes had crashed into the Twin Towers in New York City.

I was on my way to the radio station for work on the morning of 9/11. I stopped for gas, went in to pay and the people working in the store had the television on. They told me that terrorists had crashed commercial airliners into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

After pumping my gas, I got into the car and turned on our sister station 710 KEEL to see what was going on. As I drove and listened, I became angry that anybody would attack us on our own soil. When I heard the demand for all aircraft to land or risk being shot down I became frightened and realized that our great country and all Americans were facing danger like I had never imagined.

As time passed, I felt violated, sad and angry. I felt resentment towards the terrorists who had done this to us, and at the same time, felt a great love for our country and all of our people like I had never felt before. In a split second we had all become one.

Let’s not forget the people who lost their lives and those who lost loved one on that day.
